Item Description
Pair of enameled metal children's dishware, both featuring same full body image of Horace Horsecollar. No Disney markings but European-produced and 1930s. Plate has 7" dia. and depth of nearly 1" while handled cup is 2.75" tall w/3" dia. Plate has a few small rim flakes to enamel, affecting thin white accent rim, but Horace image remains unaffected and plate still displays VF. Cup has more moderate enamel flaking to rim above image area in a 2" area as well as .25" flake at bottom edge below Horace image. Horace image remains unaffected. Fine overall. Charming depictions of one of Mickey Mouse's closest friends. Both are rare and first we've seen in our 48 years. From the Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
