Item Description
4.25x5" heavy tin litho shovel w/14-7/8" long generic painted wood handle. Ohio Art, ©1939 Walt Disney Productions. Great image of Donald Duck riding inflatable sea serpent. A similar image w/Donald Duck and inflatable sea serpent was also produced on a pail by Ohio Art. Reverse side of shovel has all over oxidation and front has some aging around edges w/some small scattered spots of oxidation, but still displays Fine. Handle has paint wear. Scarce. From the Doug & Pat Wengel Collection and this is the actual example shown in their book "Comic Character Metal Sand Toys."
