Item Description
7.75x12.75x2.5" deep tin litho biscuit tin w/hinged lid. Marked only w/small print on back edge of lid "Par Aut. Walt Disney - Mickey Mouse S.A. - Etabl. J. Schuybroek S.A. Hoboken-Anvers." c. 1940. Lid features illustration of Gepetto, Figaro, Cleo, Jiminy Cricket and Pinocchio. Side panels feature scenes from the film including Pinocchio smoking cigar w/Lampwick on Pleasure Island, w/Foulfellow and Gideon, performing Russian puppet dance for Stromboli and underwater scene. Lid shows wear w/numerous indents and some scattered nicks/scratches and denting to rim. Fine overall. Rare. From the Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
