Item Description
12.5x16.5" framed dried flowers with hand written card reading "Republican National Convention Philadelphia June 20, 1900 Flowers From Senator Hanna's Desk". Reverse has hand written statement reading "Rambler Roses From Hanna's Desk by John W. (Last name unclear)". Followed by "William McKinley Nominated For President At This Convention. Theo. Roosevelt For Vice Pres. Senator Mark Hanna Presiding. 24000 People In The Hall Of West Phila". Original frame has some minor finish loss and backing is held in place by clear scotch tape. Some minor flaking of the flowers but presents Exc. A truly unusual relic unlike anything else we've encountered from this convention.
