Original illustrated cardboard box contains 36" long Daisy BB gun w/metal barrel, trigger, lever and wooden fore grip and stock, w/engraved "Red Ryder" name and image of Red Ryder on Thunder on one side, w/small name of co-creator/artist Fred Harman, though this is not clearly legible as produced. c. late 1940s-early 1950s. This is second issue gun and features "Husky" carbine bands on muzzle and fore grip, genuine carbine ring w/leather strap and original cardboard insert to protect blued gunmetal surface. Nearly all blueing remains w/just slight paint wear to cast metal cocking lever. VF/Exc. Box shows moderate corner tip/edge wear to ends, w/end and inner flaps reattached/reinforced w/paper tape to interior. Fine overall. Rare as boxed and complete w/cardboard insert. Old store stock.
