Auction #214 - Part II
Item numbers 1008 through 2793 in auction 214
Item Description
27x41" one-sheet movie poster for the original release of the 1966 sci-fi superhero film directed by Jerry Warren. The film starred Katherine Victor as Bat Woman and George Andre as Professor G. Octavius Neon. As the "Batman" TV show was soaring in popularity at the time, Warren decided to make his own bat-centric superhero film. After winning a settlement from being sued for copyright infringement, Warren re-released the film under the title "She Was A Hippy Vampire." Poster features great exploitation-styled image of Bat Woman w/woman over her shoulder and aiming her ring, which emits rays of some sort. Bat Woman is seen emerging from wave w/surfer, dancing girls, monster attacking woman w/knife and Professor Neon in foreground. Poster has three horizontal folds as issued, bottom fold having .5" chip at left. Poster is o/w VF and would frame for a great display.
