Auction #214 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1007 in auction 214
Item Description
6x9.5'. This likely unique flag is constructed of two pieces of fabric hemmed at center horizontally. Additional text "Justice - Equality - Service". Due to large size, presence of grommets on only one side, and reinforced corners we believe this flag was designed to fly from a very tall pole. North Dakota flirted with suffrage but did not ultimately obtain it until the 1920 national amendment. Flag has some very minor toning and pulls at right edges. A rare textile from a state with few Suffrage relics.
