Item Description
Each 4.25x5". c.1970. First features prominent Black Panther logo at top left and a train at center. Text at bottom reads "Stop The New Haven Railroad". Additional text reads "The New Haven 9" and "The New York 21". Second reads "Lonnie McLucas A True Revolutionary" and "Free The New Haven 9 Free ALL Political Prisoners". The 'New York 21' were Panthers arrested April of 1970 for plotting to bomb buildings and assassinate police officers. The 'New Haven 9' were arrested for kidnapping, torturing and assassinating Alex Rackley, a fellow Panther thought to be an FBI informant. Of the 9, only McLucas plead not guilty. Bobby Seale, who had spoken in New Haven during the time of Rackley's captivity was implicated and imprisoned on account of the matter. Both cards are Mint as made. Scarce and first we've seen.
