Item Description
Lot of three items printed in 1946, during the animated/live action film's original release. First is "Brer Rabbit Rides The Fox" hardcover by Grosset & Dunlap. 7x8.25" w/dust jacket, 32 pages. Features bw/full color story art on every page. Book's cover and DJ feature same wrap-around illustration. DJ shows obvious wear w/several tears and creases and is just Good though it remains unclipped. First blank page has inked name which has bled through onto inside front cover. Cover has corner tip wear and pages have some scattered handling wear and lt. even aging. Fine overall. Dell Publishing "Four Color" comics #129 w/52 pages, "Walt Disney's Uncle Remus And His Tales Of Brer Rabbit" is comic book adaptation of the film. Front cover has 4x5.5" area of aging from included Disney Auctions COA and pinch creases to spine. Fine overall. Last item is 10-7/8x15-5/8" Chicago Herald American "Pictorial Review" supplement from Nov. 24, 1946 that features large full color cover image of Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox and Brer Bear. Rest of publication includes stories, photos and cartoons. Aged w/moderate aging along spine but o/w VF.
