Historic 1.25" with airplane name on wings "Land Of The Soviets." About 9 tiny age dots on edge between 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock but displays glossy. VF. Commemorative issue for flight of three Soviet aviators who flew ANT-25 single engine plane over the North Pole landing June 20, 1937 at Pearson Field, Vancouver, Washington. Rare local issue. No backpaper likely as produced. Union bug label at right.
