Item Description
9x10" plastic production casing-covered bagatelle w/working mechanism and five marbles to show how toy would work. Tin playing field was hand-painted by Marx factory artist and shows Cruella de Vil, a Dalmatian puppy tugging at her coat, de Vil's bungling henchmen Horace and Jasper w/"Walt Disney's 101 Dalmatians" name and Pongo and Perdita w/puppies at center. Field is also decorated w/puppy footprints as well as four additional Dalmatian puppies. Back includes "Instructions For Attaching Standard" and has handwritten "N.Y. 11-25-68" note indicating this prototype was produced at Marx's NY. plant. 1968. Scattered wear/aging. Fine/VF overall. This bagatelle game was ultimately unproduced. From the John Bowers Collection.
