Item Description
2.5x4x4-1/8" tall production bank (non-lithographed) has had entire surface hand painted, w/great detail shown to depicted "Cinderella" characters that include - Cinderella and Prince Charming (dancing on back), Jaq and Gus (on front and on sides), bluebirds and right side has image of Bruno chasing Lucifer. Front has "Walt Disney's Cinderella" title and hand lettered designations for "Dimes - Nickels - Quarters" at slots and "Dollars - Cents" at windows where counter would be located. Left side has door w/hand lettered "Door Opens At $10.00" text. Underside has "Mod. #1797 - 7-30-51 - Girard, PA. - Litho. Only," indicating this prototype was made at the Girard, PA. plant. 1951. Scattered wear w/.25" area of flaking to top of Cinderella's head on back. Fine/VF overall. This bank was ultimately unproduced. From the John Bowers Collection.
