Item Description
Sizes are 7/8” to 2.5”. Row 1 last two buttons are litho tin, row 2 last button is a litho and row 3 second button is a litho. All others are celluloid with the exception of the two litho tin tabs in the bottom row with one of these for “Plymouth/Road Runner” and the other reading “Dodge Scat Pack.” This last one has some tiny paint loss mostly on the stem base that was once folded. The Plymouth example has a few white marks on the silver tin reverse. Among the buttons, in the first row, is 1.75” “Curved Dash Olds Club.” This has light but noticeable stain on the lower left quadrant and the right edge. For a NM example see previous lot. These two examples are the only two we’ve ever seen. Next three items in row 1 are also for Oldsmobile. All items in row 2 are for Pontiac. These span 1930s-1950s. Buttons in row 3 are for Dodge and/or Plymouth. These are all c. 1930s. In row 4 the 1941 button has faint gray mark at upper left and 1/16” tiny cut above that on the rim edge but vast majority is clean. The one next to it turns out to also be a litho rather than a cello. Couple of tiny smudges but another scarce button. The first we’ve offered. Except as noted all buttons are NM to Mint. A nice group with numerous rarities.
