Item Description
Lot of eight hard plastic prototype banks, 4.5" to 6.25" long, all complete w/traps on undersides. Pyro Plastics, 1950s. Banks are designed like animal vehicles and features free-wheeling wheels on undersides. Each has raised text name on side. These include - "Katy Kar" cat trolley, "Jumbo Cement Mixer" elephant cement truck, "Rhino Armored Car, Bumblebee Bus" (which has been painted in two colors), "Hippo Tanker" (which has also been painted in two colors), "Dashy Station Wagon" Dachshund car and two "Caw-Caw Taxi" crow cabs (one painted in two colors and one w/single color). These were obtained by a 1950s Pyro employee who stated that these were hand-painted/airbrushed for executives to see how they would look. As far as we can tell, only the "Caw-Caw Taxi" was produced. Scattered wear/aging. Fine-VF overall. Great whimsical designs.
