10-7/8x18x1" deep cardboard box w/nicely illustrated lid features graphics of Popeye, Olive Oyl, Wimpy and Swee'Pea playing actual game. ©1948 King Features Syndicate. Lid has corner tip/edge wear and lt. dust soiling. One lid corner split. Fine overall. Complete w/six 7x8" to 6.5x9.5" tall die-cut heavy cardboard figures w/separate slotted wood block bases. Includes Swee'Pea w/racket, Popeye blowing bubbles, Swee'Pea fishing, Wimpy w/hamburgers, Olive Oyl gardening, and Popeye holding large can of spinach. Gameplay is similar to Tiddlywinks. Standee figures show wear at base attachment areas, Swee'Pea fishing has heavy crease and Swee'Pea w/racket has crease but no surface paper breaks. Displays Fine. Other figures are VF/Exc. Comes w/correct amount of plastic playing pieces, felt squares and instruction sheet. VF/Exc. Box also contains two four page Parker Brothers catalogs. Nice set w/great design and superb graphics by Bud Sagendorf.
