Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard boxes contain 6.75" tall Mickey Mouse and 7" Minnie Mouse Fun-E-Flex figures w/flexible sturdy metal arms and legs. Boxes have earliest Disney copyright (1928) but actually from the early 1930s. Boxes feature character-specific illustrations and names. Both show obvious wear w/missing end flaps and just come along. Both are very rare. Mickey figure is red pants variety (also done in green) and is missing both ears and fabric-covered wire tail w/wood tip. As he needs restrung, Mickey's head and torso are loose. "Mickey Mouse" name decal on chest has a few small edge flakes but underside of each foot also has complete decal, one with company name and the other of distributor Borgfeldt/Nifty. Despite the noted issues, appearance remains bright and clean w/very little paint wear. Minnie figure has both original cardboard ears and is missing hat and flower, but all three decals are near 100% complete w/just slight flake off edge of Fun-E-Flex decal. Head is loose and needs restrung and top of head has red ring from hat. Dress and one foot have some thin lines to paint and one metal arm has lt. oxidation, but o/w figure is VF.
