Item Description
First is 1.25” “Wanted For Murder/Dead Or Alive”. Second is 1” with “V” symbol plus slogan “Slap The Japs.” Last is 1.25” cartoon button showing a Japanese military figure being squashed in a hand press with slogan on edges “Put The Squeeze On The Japanese” and slogan below “Beat The Promise.” This is an RCA issued button as part of their patriotic “Beat The Promise Campaign.” This was an employee motivation campaign and we’ve seen a card noting that the campaign will be inaugurated in all plants and offices “Sept. 2nd.” Text on the card also said “We Are Determined Not Only To Beat The Promises We Have Made To Uncle Sam On Deliveries, But Wherever Possible ‘Beat The Promise!’” All three are NM displaying Mint.
