Item Description
Colorful rectangular tin litho container 1-13/16” long by .25” deep. Image of Mickey on the lid pointing his hand and with text “ 12 Plumes.” Inside are ten of twelve metal ink pen points of the type designed to slip into a wooden stylus. Tin has paint worn off the edges of both the removable lid and the underside with the blue underside bearing a lightly written name in pencil “Eugenie.” Only example we’ve seen and from the 1930s. A 3/16” dot of old dried black ink is just below Mickey’s raised hand and partially covering the letter “P”. Rest of the illustration is clean. Rare. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
