Item Description
Two 8.75x11.25x1.25" deep glossy cardboard boxes w/different illustrated lid labels were issued by and ©1962 Hanna-Barbera Productions Inc. When Wilma Flintstone gave birth to Pebbles near the end of the third season of "The Flintstones," it was an historic TV event. Prior to the day (Feb. 22, 1963), Hanna-Barbera conducted a massive countrywide blitz to hype the baby's arrival. They sent out two comprehensive marketing campaign packages to all major TV affiliates. The first ("Kit: A") was to be used prior to Jan. 25 and was labeled in red, the second ("Kit: B") was was to be used after Jan. 25 episode "The Surprise" and was labeled in blue. Kits include such marketing efforts as "Guess The Weight, Guess The Sex" and "Guess The Name" and kits contain scripts, film reel, ad slicks, glass slides and various marketing sheets prominently featuring images of Fred Flintstone. Both kits' textured cardstock folders have some aging but o/w contents are Exc. Kit boxes show some scattered lt. wear and are Fine/VF overall. Second kit comes w/original cardboard mailer w/large matching illustrated label that remains unused. Edges show some scattered insect damage. Fine. Rare and first we've offered.
