Item Description
20 of these badges are in the shape of a six-pointed star 1.5” tall all done in brass luster (with exception of row3,#2 in copper luster) and all showing small image of Lone Ranger on Silver above the club sponsor’s name. Two exceptions in the group are the item in the photo’s bottom row which is a 1-3/8” round brass badge from sponsor “Supplee.” Most of Lone Ranger’s image is worn off this one. The other exception is row 3, #4 a “Lone Ranger” badge which came off the composition doll, like the rest of these, in 1938. On this the small words “Hi-Yo Silver” have been partially scratched out. The rest of the pieces range between VF and NM. This is the most complete group of sponsored badges we have ever seen and that we know of. Sponsors in order are: A.B. Poe; Bond Bread; Butter-Nut; Bestyett; Cobakco; Cramer’s; Eddy’s; Franz; Harris-Boyer; Holsum; Kilpatricks; Lone Ranger ( doll badge); Master Bread; Mel-O-Toast; Merita; QBC; Rath’s; Silver Foam; Town Talk; Weber’s. In the group of star badges three have a replacement pin neatly mounted on the back. These are row 1, #1 and #4 and row 5, #1. The only other damage is row 4, #3 which is missing the pin shaft. An amazing collection built over many decades beginning in the 1970s.
