Item Description
This is the earliest Tom Mix premium ring. It was issued in 1933 by National Chicle Co. and is advertised on their gum wrappers specifying that 75 coupons needed to be collected and submitted to obtain the ring. This accounts for its scarcity. The ring is stamped on the underside “14K White Gold Finish.” While most of the white gold is off the lower bands most remains on all the surfaces that can be seen when the ring is viewed looking at its top surface. Ring depicts a pistol on each side while the top has a star and shield design in brass all surrounded by white gold which is still present with the exception of a little white gold color off the raised image of the eagle above the shield. The bands are slightly less than a perfect circle but are quite smooth and overlap properly. While we’ve had high grade condition examples reach as much as $5,500, our last example in condition similar to this exceeded $900. While overall condition is VG, visually from the top view the ring displays VF. Robert M. Overstreet Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
