Item Description
9x27x3.25" deep illustrated cardboard box contains tin litho buildings and hard plastic accessories w/soft plastic figures. Marx playset No. 4714, 1950s. Box has overall age tanning, pair of 1" tears and 3.25" tear on front side panel. Left edge has moderate creasing and box is VG overall. Playset parts include 40 cadets (some of which have problems such as broken rifle barrels, missing drumsticks, etc.), Academy building w/four towers and walls, two working cannons (w/11 shells), flag, pole and base (which no longer assembles for display). Comes w/aged instruction sheet which has some edge wear and scattered fold lines. Also comes w/4.25x5.5" pamphlet that shows six famous generals of the period. Hard plastic figures of these generals w/names on bases included w/set. Figures include - Marshall, MacArthur, Eisenhower, Gruenther, Bradley and Arnold. These figures are clean and Exc. Metal and plastic buildings show some lt. edge wear but o/w appear VF. Scarce.
