Item Description
This magazine, although similar in format and design, is not to be confused w/the promotional magazines issued exclusively by dairies from Nov. 1933 through Oct. 1935. This is from a series that predates that series and was distributed by various stores/businesses from Jan. 1933 through Sept. 1933. Only nine issues were printed and all are rarely seen. This issue is Vol. 1, No. 5, May 1933. Published by Kay Kamen. 5.25x7.25" w/16 pages, contents are in bw. "Mother's Day" theme cover w/Mickey and Minnie Mouse hanging Whistler's Mother picture. Contents include "The Whoopee Party" and "Silly Symphonies - Bugs In Love" stories w/film scenes as well as other illustrations and cartoons. Back cover ad features "Mickey Mouse Wash Suits" and lists other clothing with Mickey images available at San Francisco department store O'Connor, Moffatt & Co. Scattered wear w/pinch creases to spine and lt. even aging and some scattered lt. dust soiling. VG. We have only offered a few issues from this rare series over our 48 years.
