Lot of 11 items relating to Baltimore, MD. magician and spook show host Vincent Dantini. 14x22" thin cardboard window card for May 13, 1949 midnight performance that took place at the Morgan Theatre in Baltimore, MD. "Mystery Show - Stage & Screen" performance included a showing of Bela Lugosi's "The Devil Bat" film (both Lugosi's first name and film title are misspelled). Poster features great photo of turban-clad Dantini holding magic ball, surrounded by "See...Miracle Performed - He Answers Questions From The Stage Free - Are You Worried About Love? Business? Marriage? - Do You Need Money? Are You Unlucky? - Ask The Master Mind" promotional text. Bottom corner have .75" and 1" pieces off and corner foxing at top. Card has some aging. VG. Rare. Rest of lot includes vintage 1950s spook show handbills for performances at Maryland theaters. Both are decorated w/skulls and ghost as well as Dantini photo. Ads for "The Mad Ghoul" and "Dracula's Daughter" films. Scattered wear w/creases. Fine-VF. Remaining eight items in lot date to the 1970s and relate to Dantini's documentary "Our Baltimore." Seven "Contributor Album" paper items range from 4.5x5.75" to 9x12" and include admission coupon, newspaper clippings and stat of Disneyland Vista Records letter. Envelope notes 1973 premiere date for the documentary but included 2.25" dia. button notes 1978 date and features image of Dantini. Ephemera have some scattered handling wear/aging and are VF/Exc. overall. Button has lt. surface wear but remains glossy and Exc. Rare and obscure lot.
