17.5x35" fabric by Vogart, ©1937 King Features Syndicate Inc. Cover features great image of Popeye and Olive Oyl w/Swee'Pea in rowboat. 5/8" strip of fabric at left of the front half (which was meant to be trimmed and discarded) is intact and includes company text and copyright, marked "'Popeye The Sailor' - No. 494." Unused, entire design has not been stitched as intended. Entire sheet has lt. aging but image remains clean and strong. VF overall. Scarce. From the Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
