Item Description
Thin 7/8x4-3/8" enameled metal sleeve w/silver luster contains 4.25" wide generic plastic comb (w/aging/cracks). Cohn & Rosenberger Inc. 1934. While we have seen bracelets and matchbox holders in this style, this is only our third comb case, and the first we've seen of this World's Fair variety featuring Mickey Mouse standing outside the Fair on one side and great scene featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse riding rollercoaster w/"Chicago World's Fair" text incorporating into tracks, large "1934" date making up track trusses. Moderate oxidation to silver luster at edges, scattered aging and wear w/some loss to enamel. Fine overall. Rare and first we've offered of this item in our 48 years. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
