Pair of large format BLBs, both versions printed by Whitman, ©1934. Story by Richard X. Vale w/art by George R. Taylor. Original content. BLBs feature alternating text pages and single panel pictures. First is file copy of the hardcover BLB #723. Bottom of spine has .25" tear w/crease but o/w book is NM w/pages aged to cream in color. High grade example. Second is softcover version #NN w/"Tom Beatty" title printed on first and last blank pages. Scattered wear w/rippling to spine surface, corner creases and edge wear. Vertical crease to back cover. Pages are moderately aged to tan in color. VG. Scarce. Rogers M. Fred, Jr. BLB & Related Collection.
