Item Description
37.25x55.5" die-cut cardboard standee featuring full body images of Robin Williams as Popeye (holding a can of spinach) and Shelly Duvall as Olive Oyl from the 1980 musical comedy film. Standee features same image of Popeye and Olive Oyl as used on the film's movie poster (omitting Swee'Pea) and was put out to promote the Boardwalk Entertainment Company record. As the film itself was a commercial failure, the Harry Nilsson composed soundtrack (featuring the actors singing the songs live), caused the studio album to not quite match the tracks heard in the film. the revised soundtrack also performed poorly, making this record store standee rare. Standee is separated at horizontal fold at center but still has original easel back attached and just needs piece reattached for display purposes. 3.5" creases to Olive Oyl's wrists w/some scattered edge wear. Fine/VF overall.
