7/8" bw of cigar-smoking sailor identified on W&H backpaper as "The Man Who Fired The First Shot At Manila." Headband of sailor hat has tiny but distinct "U.S.S. Olympia" (Admiral Dewey's flagship). Backpaper repeats front text with cigar maker named as "Stadeker-Boeving Co. Cincinnati." High gloss. N. Mint. Rare.
