Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 11.75" long tin litho wind-up racer w/built-in key. Marx, early 1950s. Box has single 1.75" edge tear on each main panel and one end flap has .25" and .75" punctures. Box is evenly aged and Fine overall. Wonderfully illustrated "27" racer has plastic figural driver figure and tin litho simulated balloon-type tires. Side of racer has small Marx logo and decoration that reads "Indianapolis 1948 - 1st Place." Underside is painted tin. Body has lt. scattered wear and front rim has small area w/paint loss and some lt. scattered oxidation. VF overall. Works well.
