This rare watch is the first post-war Mickey Mouse watch, issued in 1946. Comes in original 1-7/8x9.5x1" cardboard box w/die-cut insert marked "US Time." Underside of lid is marked "Kelton." Box shows obvious aging/wear w/one end of lid w/tape repairs. VG. Watch has 1x1.5" 10K gold-plated metal case and vintage vinyl-covered leather band. Dial was issued in two different versions, this is variety w/o "Kelton" name but w/all 12 numbers (other variety has "Kelton" name and only 12, 3, 6, 9 numerals). Dial features separate die-cut Mickey head which is on a post and designed to rotate w/the hour hand (hands are tipped w/Mickey's gloves). Watch is running and head rotates. Dial has a few tiny age spots and crystal is slightly yellowed w/age. VF. Rare (as it was only produced for one year) and only the fourth boxed example we've offered in our 48 years.
