Item Description
One of three different figurines (see following items #1845-0846) produced by this Italian company depicting Donald Duck as a golfer; the three figurines comprising a complete set. This figurine stands 8.25" tall and underside has company mark and "W56" series number. This company signed a contract w/Disney in 1947 which lasted for about 10 years. This particular piece is c. 1947 and depicts Donald wearing a black and white checkered golf cap and an angry expression on his face, original removable wood club slung over one shoulder. A cricket sits by his feet at back of the base. Cricket has tiny glaze flake off one eye. Tip of Donald's tail has two minute glaze nicks but o/w remains totally bright and glossy. Still retains an Exc. appearance. Striking design. Among the rarest and best Donald Duck figurines ever produced.
