RARE TWO PART CELLULOID BADGE ISSUED FOR THE FIRST ORGANIZATION OF THE FRUIT AND VEGETABLE INDUSTRY.
Top has a 2" wide brass frame with celluloid insert reading "Columbus." Reverse has bar pin plus a second bar that once held a fabric ribbon, now missing. Brass links suspend a two-sided celluloid with the front showing the ornate logo of the "National League Of Commission Merchants Of The United States." The celluloid reverse reads "Eleventh Annual Meeting Chicago, Jan. 14th, 1903." Very trivial and tiny traces of where around the front and back extreme edges. One of two we've seen in five decades.
