Auction #215 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 987 in auction 215
Item Description
Buttons are 5/8” to 1.25”. Non button items include 9/16” real photo celluloid on stickpin, a figural possum shaped brass pin, and a brass pin combining the four letters of the name Taft into the campaign symbol used in 1908 with tiny text on the front surface “Taft & Sherman.” Small bit of luster loss. Row 3 fourth item has a small spot along the back edge that makes a tiny bump on the right when viewed from the front. The pair of 1.25” buttons each including “Hello Bill” were issued by the Elks fraternal group and the phrase seems to originate from the 1908 campaign when both Bill Taft and Bill Bryan were vying for the presidency. All items are VF to NM.
