7x9.75x12" tall tea cart has painted tin wheels w/tin litho base/tray w/Pluto image w/holes at corners to hold four wooden rods used to support painted tin frame that 9.5x12.25" tin litho tray rests on. This tray features image of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Mickey pouring tea out of cup, Minnie pouring tea out of teapot. Tray is marked "Par Aut. Walt Disney - Mickey Mouse S.A." This cart comes w/six-place setting tin tea set which includes six 3" dia. tin litho saucers w/image of Mickey pouring tea into cup, six 7/8" tall by 2" dia. handled tin litho cups w/wrap-around image of Mickey, Minnie and Pluto, 2" tall creamer w/similar image, and 2.5" tall lidded tin litho teapot w/lid having different image of Mickey and Minnie. Underside has image of Mickey w/tea cup/saucer. Set comes w/2" dia. sugar bowl w/this same image on exterior. Made in France by Egda as all pieces bear company mark. 1930s. Cart disassembles as designed and shows scattered edge wear in the form of small nicks/scratches. Base has some edge dents and flaking to paint. Wheel edges also show wear from use. VG-Fine overall, though removable tray shows less wear and is Fine/VF. Tea set shows scattered aging/wear and is Fine overall. Rare and first we've seen in our 48 years. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
