Item Description
Largest is 10x14"/smallest 5" dia. All c. 1896. First is large paper under glass jugate image of McKinley and wife Ida with a floral motif at center and a metal chain border for hanging. Light brown staining to paper most noticeable in background across top. Also thin 2" vertical area of paper loss at extreme right edge at 3 o'clock. Fine. Second item is a pressed glass dish featuring a full length portrait of McKinley standing on a plank labeled "Gold" with a scroll in his right hand reading "Sound Money Policy" and tiny facsimile signature. Pair of less than 1/2" chips at extreme top edges. VF. Third item is a glazed tile featuring portrait of McKinley. Crazing of surface under glaze and six tiny less than 1/8" chips at extreme edges; two at top right and the rest on left edge. Attractive and subtle earth tones. VG. Last is plaque reading "The North Western Terra Cotta Company Chicago Ill." with high relief portrait of McKinley at center. Tiny less than 1/2" chip on the underside at 5 o'clock. This is covered in same gilt paint as the rest of the item and is likely a factory error. VF. Julie Powell Collection.
