Item Description
Lot of 23. Ribbons are 6-9" and labor badges are 3-5". Ribbons include: McKinley memorial with cardboard photo, Lincoln 1909 centennial, Republican State Conventions (Ohio 1887); Seattle 1906 and three with age marks from Montana (1890, 1892 and 1900). There are two nice Denver ribbons from 1893 and 1894. The 1894 includes text "16 To 1". Three more read "Floor/Arrangement/Reception". A pencil dated 1907 Maccabee's ribbon includes a 7/8" real photo button of "Supreme Record Keeper/Bina West" who was also a Suffrage activist. Ribbons with labor theme include: 1893 Waterbury Butchers' Protective Assoc (bit tanned); a beautiful fancy and mint badge from New Hampshire for the Quarry Workers' Central National Union Of North America (in 1903 they had 3000 members). Next is a bit stained 1905 Millmen's Union and last is NM 1908 Delegate/Arkansas State Federation of Labor. The eight labor badges: 1915 Los Angeles Typographical Union, 1939 Cincinnati A F of L, 1929 National Federation of Federal Employees in Sault Ste Marie, MN; three for barbers including great enamel shaving brush for the 1914 convention delegates other two dated for 1928 Sacramento. Last are 1957 New Hampshire convention State Federation of Labor and 1964 Delegate for iron workers convention. Most items are VF to NM except as noted.
