Item Description
These were all issued for New York City. The heavy metal badges are each 2.25” to 2.5” tall. Reverse of each has a pair of short vertical extensions each with a hole in the end. These would be used for fastening by wire and there is no pin, as these were made without one. Back of each reads “Property Of The City Of New York/Superior Seal And Stamp Co. Detroit.” Dates on the fronts are 1938, 1939, 1940, 1941. Very minor wear and overall all in excellent condition. Next are a pair of clear yellowish celluloid sheets laminating a paper license which includes real photo of the driver. These are about 4.5x5.5” with the second having the right margin trimmed off. The first has expiration date March 31, 1938 and the second March 31, 1941. The first is Exc. The second in addition to the trimmed edge has numerous long scratch marks across the mostly blank reverse. Unique items.
