Item Description
2.25” tall heavy silvered brass badge with vertical pin on reverse and small back stamp by maker “The C. H. Hanson Co. Chicago.” In addition badge back is stamped at center with serial number “17.” Front of the piece is silvered with the exception of center raised brass circle encompassing a brass illustration of speeding steam locomotive accented along the tracks by a telegraph pole and wires. This southern railroad was chartered in 1848 and lasted until 1940. We estimate this badge to be from the 1920s. Minor traces of age. Very attractive and extremely well made.
