Sizes are 1.25” to 2.25”. All of these are pin-back buttons with the exception of the first item which is an award badge with purple ribbon suspending medal showing ice skater beneath text “Post Olympic Skating Meet.” Suspended from the lower edge of the medal is a tiny winged foot on an ice skate. Reverse of the piece does not have a person’s name but does have engraved date of “March, 6th 1932” along with raised text “Western A.A.A.U. St. Louis Mo. U.S.A./Won By.” Among the first five buttons four are serially numbered permits. The one for 1935 has age marks on the right side. The smallest is for 1942 “North Country Speed Skating Championships” and this has some stain blending on the front but heavy rust on the back. The remaining seven buttons for ice shows carry dates of 1956 plus there are four buttons issued to a “Photographer” dated either 1947 or 1948. Two of the buttons from 1947 show age spotting.
