Item numbers 1 through 987 in auction 215
Item Description
Lot of four figural souvenirs issued at the 1939 New York World's Fair, each depicting the Fair's iconic Trylon and Perisphere buildings. 8" tall glazed ceramic lamp base w/painted accents showing wear. All-over crazing. VG/Fine. 3x4.5" plated cast metal base has raised "Theme Buildings - New York World's Fair - 1939" text and has recessed spots to hold separate salt and pepper shakers designed like the Trylon and Perisphere. Aged patina, but VF overall w/original cork stoppers. Last two items are of similar design, having two different Catalin plastic bases and metal Trylon w/glass bulbs representing Perisphere. Each of these once held perfume as noted by foil labels on exteriors, though this has dried up over the years. VF.
