Item Description
Lot of four pieces issued at the 1939 New York World's Fair. Lot includes 10" dia. by 2.5" deep bowl w/same design as 10.25x10.5" handled serving platter. Underside of bowl is marked w/"The Paden City Pottery Co." and w/special World's Fair logo. Underside of platter has "Cronin China Co." mark. Bowl is evenly aged and has some crazing. Fine/VF. Platter's image shows wear from use. Fine overall. Remaining two items are 10.75" Atlas-China serving platter in Fair orange/blue w/Trylon and Perisphere image and gold luster accent along inner rim which shows wear. VF. Elaborate 10.5" dia. Swiss Pavilion restaurant plate has large Swiss cross at center and features interesting flag border design. Lamberton Scammell China. Exc. Rare and first we've seen in our 48 years of any pavilion restaurant china.
