Item Description
Lot of eight pieces of American Pottery issued at the 1939-1940 New York World's Fair. These include two 7" dia. plates, w/matching left and right images of early craftsmen working on a large pot. Each have text on underside "Joint Exhibit Of Capital And Labor - The American Potter - New York World's Fair 1939." All items were made and sold at the American Potter exhibit. Rest of lot consists of items produced in 1940 (and marked as such). These include scarce Four Seasons four-piece bowl set, each 4-3/8" dia. by 1" deep and representing the Four Seasons, w/raised text/design. Produced in Fiestaware colors. Last two items are matching 4" dia. by 2.25" tall handled cup and 6" dia. saucer w/same astrological designs and in same color. All are free of defects. Exc./NM. A nice group to display together.
