Original 27x41" one-sheet poster for the 1953 release of the 12-Chapter Republic serial starring Judd Holden, Aline Towne, Gregory Gaye and Craig Kelly. This is for Chapter 3, "Cosmic Vengeance." Originally intended to be broadcast on TV as a limited-run weekly series, Sky Marshall was first released theatrically in 1953 as a weekly serial; it was finally syndicated to TV on NBC in 1955 w/added new footage and music score changes. Poster features great sci-fi imagery including Commando Cody depicted in a more fanciful way, his blocky metal helmet (first seen in 1949's "King Of The Rocket Men" serial) replaced w/a large clear space helmet and wearing a cape. Wonderful space bkg. includes planets and spaceships. Folded as issued, poster shows moderate wear w/several tape repairs along margins on reverse. Top corners have tears as posted and each corner has aged tape. Middle and bottom fold crease intersections have been restored, w/pieces of paper added on back and matching color added. VG overall, but would look nice if framed.
