Complete set of seven 7.5x8.75" semi-hardcover books w/embossed faux leather covers. Each has 284 bw pages. Published by William H. Wise & Co., 1930. Books represent a posthumous printing of Briggs' work. Each book contains multiple stories, titles include - "Somebody's Always Taking The Joy Out Of Life; There's At Least One In Every Office; The Days Of Real Sport; It Happens In The Best Regulated Families; How To Start The Day Wrong; Ain't It A Grand And Glorious Feelin'?; When A Feller Needs A Friend; That Guiltiest Feeling; Oh Man; Old Songs; Real Folks At Work; Wonder What - Thinks About; Movie Of A Man; Handy Man Around The House; Kelly Pool, Tedious Pastimes" and "Golf." Covers have corner tip wear, some surface rubs. Fine overall. All pages remain bright and clean, VF-Exc. Briggs' cartoons dealt w/everyday life and his best-known works are his strips "A. Piker Clerk, Mr. And Mrs." and the strips collected in the books in this set.
