Item numbers 1 through 987 in auction 215
Item Description
Sizes are 7.75” tall to 10” tall. The first, showing their emblem, has text reading “Indian War Veterans Of The North Pacific Coast/Grand Encampment Souvenir.” Probably from the 1890s. Couple of pinholes at top but very clean. Next is beautifully colored ribbon from 1884 for the Dept. Of New York 18th Annual Encampment/GAR. Top two corners have stain from reverse glue mounting with pair of smaller stains flanking the text at the ribbon bottom. Rest is exceptionally clean although there is a single center horizontal crease. Next dated for 1890 event in Harrisburg, Pa. is for “First Reunion Hartranft’s Division.” Dark mark on far left corner of the otherwise Mint brass hanger and with clean ribbon. Next would be from 1890 and stamped in gold text includes “Org. Oct. 12, 1866/Washington, D.C. 24th Annual Encampment” for the group specified as “JNO. A. Rawlings Post No. 1 Dept. Potomac G.A.R.” A little loss of upper gold lettering but rest is very clean. Next on a big heavy G.A.R. white metal hanger is ribbon with crossed rifles and text “GAR/92/New York.” Minor dustiness. Last is from 1895 for the “Department Of Indiana G.A.R. 16th Annual Encampment.” Light dust. Nice group.
