Item Description
Sizes are 2.75” to 4” tall. Items are brass or silvered brass with the exception of a beautiful domed celluloid at the start of row 2. In order group begins with ribbon badge for “Silver Anniversary GAR Detroit 1891.” Next on original shield hanger is white metal for "28th National Encampment In Pittsburgh 1894." Reverse shows detailed state seal of Pennsylvania. Next is very nice figural badge depicting a soldier’s knap sack and bed roll in very high relief. Center of the piece also details soldier’s cap and a small pair of brass attachments hold a figural canteen. Reverse has a bar pin and the piece comes with a very old neatly hand inked card with text “27th National Encampment Grand Army Republic Indianapolis Indiana September 1893 (souvenir)” Next from 1896 has soldiers around camp fire with text “14th Annual Encampment Dept. Of Washington & Alaska G.A.R.” Reverse is covered tin. A gorgeous piece and NM. Next piece shows Lincoln and was issued for “Chicago Encampment 1900.” Next with bear is for "37th National Encampment San Francisco 1903." Last with large figural bear is for "37th National Encampment San Francisco 1903." NM to Mint condition on all.
