Item Description
"Tom Mix Lario" is 2x5" paper w/2" wide rolled crepe paper streamer of unknown length, possibly 10-20' long. 1933 premium. One side of lario has "This Lario Is A Special Gift To My Loyal Straight Shooters. You Can Do The Same Amazing Tricks With It That Cowboys Do With Their Ropes" and "Your Straight Shooter Pal, Tom Mix - Eat Ralston - The Official Straight Shooter Cereal" text. Other side of lario has instructions for adding string in eyelet. Few survived due to fragile nature. NM. Early and Rare. Next items are both from 1946. 8.25x10.75" single-sided promo sales sheet features large image of "Tom Mix Luminous Belt" plus detail images noting special features such as "White Plastic That Glows In The Dark - Embossed With Colorful Western Scenes And Brands - Bright Buckle With Secret Compartment." Additional text notes availability for 20¢ and one box top, also notes "Offer Starts Feb. 17 On The ½-Hour Tom Mix Show Over Your Local Mutual Network Stations." Tiny .25" corner crease but sheet remains totally bright and clean. Exc. and the only example we've seen. Comes w/1" wide premium belt, though belt has been trimmed to half its original size, now 13" in length rather than about 26". Belt bears images of cowboys and brands as well as checkerboard design. Metal buckle has slide-out secret compartment and embossed image of Mix against checkerboard design, small corner images including crossed guns and "TM" brand. Moderate luster wear but nice highlights remain. Small scattered trace of wear to images but most remain distinct and belt still glows-in-the-dark. VG.
