Item Description
In date order this group includes 1935 leather strap bracelet with brass and metallic foil name plate inscribed on reverse “To My Straight Shooter Pal Tom Mix.” NM. Next is 2.25” aluminum band with a celluloid strip on the interior showing hours of the clock. This was known as Tom’s Sun Watch. Complete and VF. Next from 1936 is the Lucky Signet ring in this case with initial “H”. Luster off the lower bands but the top remains NM. Next from 1938 are a pair of bullet shaped flashlights each with a different diamond shaped “Tom Mix Ralston Straight Shooters” decal. The red one has 1/16” spot off near the center while the green/yellow one has some tiny edge pieces missing. Both are complete with their springs and plungers. Next from 1941 is the Tom Mix Six-Gun Decoder. A little luster off the revolving gun but the brass luster is NM. Next from 1941 is the “Captain” spur badge. NM. Next from 1945 is the Service Ribbon and this includes the rarely seen cardboard instruction folder. As typical, the suspended piece no longer glows in the dark. Checkerboard fabric covered hanger bar shows just a little wear. The rare instruction card is NM. Next is the 1946 Luminous Compass-Magnifyer. This arrow head shaped piece still glows in the dark and comes with its original instruction card, folded as issued. Both are Exc. Next from 1946 is the Tom Mix Sheriff Dobie County badge with built in siren whistle. NM. Last from 1947 is the Identification Bracelet. This has the initial “H” and comes with the original mailing envelope and the rarely seen “Tom Mix Bureau Of Identification File Card” which has been unused but was intended to record the owners information including five finger prints acquired by wetting the finger and using the large rectangular panel of “Finger Printing Ink” on the right side of the card. Two tiny age dots from a staple on this as well as the envelope but these are NM pieces and seldom offered. An outstanding group.
