Item Description
1.5x6x1” deep mailing box contains complete two-piece premium 4.5” long. Issued by Peter Pan peanut butter 1947. Paper tape used to seal the box is missing from the underside of the box panel with a few scattered brown glue marks but none of this shows on the other sides of the extremely clean box. Box top has “Premium Library” label and this was sold when the archive was auctioned in the 1980s. The tin scope includes Sky King portrait along with his “Private Code.” Left end has band of luminous material most of which still glows in the dark. Opposite end of tube has metal reflector that swivels to be used to send signals. There is a small inserted brass whistle with a plastic magnifying glass on the end. This has Mint luster. The instruction paper is 5.5x10”. The sheet just has the fold lines necessary to package it with the premium. Only our third boxed example and only our second complete with the instruction sheet.
